Lazy or relaxed?/レイジーかリラックス
When they look at cats some humans think that we are lazy...isn't it? When you see us sleeping soundly here an there all the day while you are keeping yourself so busy, you may think "Lazy cat!"
I do not mind if human think we are Lazy but I want to tell you something. Humans imagine that keeping themselves busy and moving around is a good thing, and they imagine that relaxing is being lazy...
We cannot be lazy because it is too dangerous for us. In our natural environment, if we loose contact with the world even for a short instant we risk our life. So, even when we look deeply asleep, look at our ears, always moving. I shows that we are always conscious of all what happens around us.
This is the difference between "laziness" and "relaxation".A body fully relaxed is always ready for action. It is the reason why almost all cats can stay supple and alert while humans get stiff and sleepy...

不思議なタイトルね。
あなた達は猫を怠け者だと思っているんじゃない？
人間がせわしく仕事している傍らで猫が一日中気の向くままに昼寝していると「猫はいいよね〜」ってね。
べつに怠け者と思われても気にしちゃいないけど、人生について大事なことがあるの。
人間を見ていてアラッ！と思うのは、みんな忙しく動き回っていることが美徳と信じていること。
止まっていると怠けているって思っちゃうみたい。
言っておくけれど、猫は怠け者じゃないわ。
動物にとってそれは危険すぎるのよ。
一瞬でも気を抜いたら命に関わるの。
だから深く眠っていても常に周囲に意識を向けているわけ。
猫の耳はいつも物音を拾っているの。
怠けるのとリラックスは完全に別物なのよ。
